The son of an artistic mother and father, he got his start drawing pictures for his parents on the coffee table in Fostoria, Ohio. Eventually that love for art would carry through high school until he would get trained as a tattoo apprentice from Jim Bryan in 1993.

After high school, He joined the U.S. military and enlisted as a combat medic and a medical laboratory technician. He was thankful to serve as the experiences from the military and medical school training helped him guide and shape the future to help promote safer tattooing practices in the tattoo industry and help the greater community fall in love with his artform. After his enlistment, he began to pursue his own dream, working for other studios while gaining necessary experience until he opened his own studio at age 26.

Daniel worked very hard and felt very blessed to have owned and operated a very busy tattoo and body piercing studio Lucky Rabbit Tattoo, in Muncie Indiana. He founded and ran the award-winning studio for 20+ years while gaining a loyal following.

Lucky Rabbit as well as his artwork, and tattoo art has been featured in multiple national and international magazines, blogs as well as regional and local newspapers. During this time, he attended conferences, collaborated with other artists and maximized his opportunities as he would eventually teach advanced black and grey seminars at major conventions while traveling around the US. He was thankful l to be sponsored by several top tattoo industry brands.

The city of Muncie and Muncie area voters voted Lucky Rabbit and the artists and piercers who worked with me, the following honors: the Muncie’s Finest award from 2006-2018 ,The Best of Ball State 2010,2015,2016 and Best of 2020, 2021, Reader’s Choice Award winner and 2022 runner up by the Ball State, Muncie, and Delaware County communities! 

After a solid 20+ years he brings all the experience, hard work and dedication to his craft to fulfill another dream. Downsizing from a leading brand name tattoo and piercing studio he opened a private tattoo studio where he can slow down, spend more time with his clients and his artwork while finding balance with the rest of his life.

He is in love with his new passion for life and loving the work he does daily! He feels thankful and blessed that his prayers have allowed him to create from a space where he can offer his best to the community! He brings a certain joy to work each day as he serves others. Each day is a new adventure and an opportunity to continue getting better!
