The son of an artistic mother and father, he got his start early desiring to draw pictures for his parents on the living room coffee table in Fostoria, Ohio. Eventually that natural love for art, that was nurtured by his parents would carry him through his youth. He would surprisingly be offered a tattoo apprentice from Jim Bryan in 1993, as a high school student.

After high school, having interest in the medical field, while coming from a large family where several uncles as well as his father served, he joined the U.S. military. He enlisted as a combat medic and a medical laboratory technician. He was thankful to serve as the experiences from the military taught discipline and the medical school training would eventually help him guide and shape the future to help promote safer tattooing practices in the tattoo industry and help the greater community fall in love with his artform.

After his enlistment, he began to pursue a growing desire for tattooing and creating the art that fueled his youth. This would be a very difficult road causing him to work 3 jobs at one time and sleeping only 4 hours a night until he could build a small clientele. He would sacrifice while being committed to the vision. He was very determined to achieve the dream. He will not waver until it is finished, something he learned while playing on a State Championship football team in high school in his hometown.

He gained necessary experience while working for other studios in Ohio and Indiana meanwhile growing a desire to own a studio. He opened his own studio at the age of 26. Growing a studio into a large-scale business model was a challenge and include growth in areas of leadership, management, technology, finance, interior design, enterprising, marketing as well as gaining an understanding of interpersonal dynamics, service and social skills.

Daniel has worked very hard and felt very blessed to have owned and operated a successful high-volume tattoo and body piercing studio named Lucky Rabbit Tattoo and Body Piercing in Muncie, Indiana. He founded and ran the award-winning studio for 20+ years while offering the very best to the community and gained a loyal following.

Lucky Rabbit as well as his artwork, and tattoo art has been featured in multiple national and international magazines, blogs as well as regional and local newspapers. During this time, he attended conferences, collaborated with other artists and maximized his opportunities as he would eventually teach advanced black and grey seminars at major conventions while traveling around the US. He was thankful to be sponsored by several top tattoo industry brands during his travels.

The city of Muncie and Muncie area voters voted Lucky Rabbit and the artists and piercers who worked with him, the following honors: the Muncie’s Finest award from 2006-2018 ,The Best of Ball State 2010,2015,2016 and Best of 2020, 2021, Reader’s Choice Award winner and 2022 runner up by the Ball State, Muncie, and Delaware County communities! 

After a solid performing 20+ years of business leadership he bring the experience, hard work ethic and drama-free dedication to his craft to fulfill yet another dream. Downsizing from a leading brand name tattoo and piercing studio, he opened Signature Rose. The new business model offers an elevated experience in a private tattoo only studio where he can slow down, put his personal touch on tattoos and spend more time with his clients while perfecting his artwork. Here he feels balance with the rest of life while doing the things he enjoys in other areas of his life with those who are closest to him.

He is passionate about creating a life that feels sustainable around him choosing balance over hectic schedules. He operates well under these terms. He thrives in the studio, with customer interactions and the artwork itself as he creates daily! He thanks God daily for allowing him to operate a business in our small town where he can offer his best to the community around him! He brings a certain joy to work each day as he serves others. To him, each day is a new adventure and an opportunity to continue getting better!
