I’ve seen fantastic tattoos in a portfolio of a 2-3 yr artist who was not being honest with his customers. Look for a consistency and a style that resonates with you, and consider factors such as the artist's experience, reputation, and client reviews. Personal recommendations can also be invaluable in guiding you toward an artist who can bring your personal vision to life. If you are looking for a sleeve or backpiece, make sure your artist is fully capable of designing these already and has examples in his portfolio. Budget friendly artists may not be your best choice for these types of tattoos.
